A Family of None

A family of none

convenes in silence

Like vultures they descend

feathers ruffled and furled

a dark night night awaits all who hope

the hope of the hopeless

A family of none

Gathering seeds

stowing them away

for when the other is starving

becomes a natural prey

A light shines o’er the house

only a few come out

in the darkness

their secrets locked away

A family of none

forever will be…

About drapersmeadow4

I am a writer, life-long learner, and philosopher of all things, who also happens to be Irish, sarcastic and very intuitive. I'm an 'every-aged' woman who never plans on growing up, just evolving as I go. My debut memoir is due out fall of 2019.
